Youth Coordinator

We are now pleased to introduce our new youth coordinator, who will be starting in October. We are very much looking forward to working with her!

My name is Mira and I live in a lovely apartment in Vesterbro.
I work as a physical therapist for, among others, the Beach national teams ...Read moreand I’m a coach for both beach volleyball and indoor volleyball. ☺️

I’ve been playing beach volleyball for the past 4 years, but before that I played elite volleyball and made the youth national team for the first time when I was 14, eventually making it all the way to the senior national team.
I really appreciate my time on the youth national teams, and I learned a lot.
But above all, it was my former clubs and coaches who helped shape me into the person I am today and the player I am. They helped create an environment where the desire to have fun and spend time with friends was combined with the drive to go far and challenge oneself.

I’d like to help bring that balance to the club and the beach volleyball community for young people.
In addition, I hope—and will work toward—making our sport more visible and more widespread. Fortunately, we’re already seeing interest grow; we’re gaining more young members, and I hope that trend continues. So hopefully, many people will come to love our sport, just as the rest of us who are already here do. ☺️

There are only 5 days left until the application deadline!

The CPH Beach Para Team is back from Bibione ☀️

Our Para Beach Volleyball team has just returned from Bibione, Italy, where they competed in the PVE Beach Volleyball Standing Marathon.

It was a great and educational trip with plenty of training, matches, and camaraderie in all kinds of weather – ...Read morerain, wind, sun, and heat. The trip also gave the team the opportunity to bond even more closely, both on and off the court.

On the field, they suffered five losses against Italian teams, but several of the matches were very close. In the final match, the team even had two match points before the game unfortunately ended 23–21 in favor of the opponents.

The team was the only one with para-athletes among approximately 2,500 teams spread across several different categories. As a result, their participation generated a great deal of interest and attention—both for the team itself and for the development of Para Beach Volleyball.

Now the team is ready to take the next step toward the late-summer push and the European Championships in Standing Beach Volleyball in Ljubljana this August.

Going forward, training will continue on Wednesdays at Hafnia Hall, participation in the Paradise game on Fridays, and a new regular Sunday practice.

At the same time, a strong, small group of volunteers is growing around the team, helping to support, develop, and create a positive environment for the project. This means a great deal to both the team and the club.

Thank you to everyone who is following and supporting the Para project at CPH Beach. We look forward to following the team’s continued journey.
