At CPH Beach, we play beach volleyball all year long, with something for every level, age, and ambition. Whether you're playing just for fun or aiming for big results, we've got a spot for you. We're excited to welcome everyone and embrace you into our active community!
Copenhagen Beachvolley is one of Denmark's biggest beach volleyball clubs, with about 620 active members playing beach volleyball all year round. We're powered by our wonderful volunteers and many passionate members!
Our club offers training for all levels imaginable – from total beginners to elite and national team players. Plus, we organize tournaments, parties, and other awesome social events for our members all year long!
We have four core values that guide everything we do, our vision, and our goal to become a top beach volleyball club in Denmark and the Nordics.
We're one big family, looking out for each other, valuing our connections, and loving the joy of meeting in the sand to build an active community for everyone.
We're always striving to improve, not just in sports, but also as a club, a community, and a positive contributor to society.
We always aim for high standards and quality in everything we do and stand for, and we really put in the effort.
We're one of Denmark's best sports clubs because everyone at CPH Beach shows great commitment and responsibility. This makes our culture and foundation super strong and unique!
Grand Slam in CPH Beach
Another fantastic Grand Slam weekend has come to a close, featuring plenty of great matches, high-level play, and strong performances across all divisions.
Congratulations to all the winners as well as the 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the various tournaments and divisions. It’s always a ...pleasure to see so many players giving it their all on the courts and creating a great tournament atmosphere at the club.
A special thank you goes to this weekend’s sponsors, who have helped make the tournament even better.
First and foremost, a huge thank you to Nordic Pharma Consulting, which has sponsored club apparel for CPH Beach. This really means a lot to the club, and we are very grateful for the tremendous support.
In addition, a big thank you goes to:
@getvolt for power banks
@greendatesdk for dates
@gamechangercamps.dk for gift cards for camp
@ristvaerk for coffee tasting kits
Thank you so much for your contributions and support for the club. It makes a huge difference for the players, tournaments, and the CPH Beach community.
We’re already looking forward to the next Grand Slam.
The CPH Beach Para Team is back from Bibione ☀️
Our Para Beach Volleyball team has just returned from Bibione, Italy, where they participated in the PVE Beach Volleyball Standing Marathon.
It was a powerful and educational trip with plenty of training, matches, and camaraderie in all kinds of weather – ...rain, wind, sun, and heat. The trip also gave the team the opportunity to bond even more, both on and off the court.
On the court, the team suffered five losses against Italian teams, but several of the matches were very close. In the final match, the team even had two match points before the match unfortunately ended 23-21 in favor of the opponents.
The team was the only team with para-athletes among approximately 2,500 teams spread across several different categories. Consequently, their participation generated significant interest and attention—both regarding the team and the development of Para Beach Volleyball.
Now the team is ready to take the next step toward the late-summer push and the European Championships in Standing Beach Volleyball in Ljubljana this August.
Going forward, training will continue on Wednesdays at Hafnia Hall, participation in the Paradise game on Fridays, and an upcoming regular Sunday practice.
At the same time, a strong, small group of volunteers is growing around the team, helping to support, develop, and create a positive environment for the project. This means a great deal to both the team and the club.
Thank you to everyone who is following and supporting the Para project at CPH Beach. We look forward to following the team’s journey.
You can also follow the team on their own Instagram: @parabeachvolley.dk
🔥 Visit from the world elite in Hafnia 🔥
This past Wednesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Norwegian beach volleyball stars Hendrik Mol and Mathias Berntsen to Hafnia, where they trained and coached both our elite and talent players.
Through training sessions and a Q&A, they shared ...their experiences from the international top level and gave exciting insights into their own tactical considerations on the court. They also talked about Norway's development and path towards becoming a strong nation in beach volleyball.
Our players gained tons of inspiration, practical tools, and valuable advice for their own development – technically, tactically, and mentally.
A huge thank you to Hendrik and Mathias for an inspiring visit and for sharing their knowledge and experience 🙌🏐

Huge congrats to Martin Kattner!
Martin has been nominated for DGI Greater Copenhagen's 'Volunteer of the Year' award – and we at CPH Beach are incredibly proud of him!
He, along with two others, was chosen by DGI's board, and the nomination already comes with 2,500 DKK for him/the club and a lovely ...visit, which you can see in the video below, where he was surprised during training yesterday.
For many years, Martin has put in an absolutely extraordinary effort for the club. He's been a board member, volunteer, employee, coach, and today he's the head of elite sports – and no matter the role, he's always been driven by a huge passion for developing both the club and the sport.
Among other things, Martin has been behind the development of our talent program, completed a diploma coach education, and helped develop the first official beach volleyball coach training – including creating a beach volleyball coaching book. In other words, his dedication hasn't just impacted CPH Beach, but the development of beach volleyball across all of Denmark.
He does all of this with warmth, a clear overview, and a big smile.
We're really proud of the nomination and can't wait to follow along when the winner is announced at DGI Greater Copenhagen's general assembly.
Huge congrats on the nomination, Martin – and thanks for your incredible effort for CPH Beach and beach volleyball!
Para-athletes try beach volleyball with CPH Beach 🏐
Following interest from para-athletes, the club will hold two trial training sessions — led by the athletes themselves: Wednesday, Feb. 11, 3:30–5:00 p.m., and Thursday, Feb. 19, 3:30–5:00 p.m.
In the short term, the athletes’ goal is to recruit and evaluate a group of ...players, including from sitting volleyball, and to gain a better understanding of the conditions required to train and play in sand. If the trial goes well, the athletes will sign up and make bookings on equal terms with all other members.
If all goes well, we hope to integrate entirely new types of athletes and create a platform for larger communities across the club’s open events; e.g., Friday Beach.
Parasport Denmark strongly supports the integration of athletes on equal terms and with equal rights, just like all other members.
If there is enough momentum and demand, we will also look into creating targeted activities this summer in Ryparken—likely on weekends.
If there is sufficient sporting potential and a strong enough contingent of athletes, the board and Parasport Denmark will discuss whether there is a basis for further collaboration.
In Parabeach, teams consist of 3 players on each side of the net. So don’t hesitate to accept an invitation—or extend one yourself—if a player is needed.
But for now, the goal is to gain experience and test the waters.
