Winter 2026–27

Weekly Training Schedule for Recreational and Youth Players, Ages 19–25

Dear Everyone,

Please read the information about the 2026–27 winter season below.

1. Information about the 2026–27 winter season

The 2026–27 winter season begins in mid-October (Week 42), ends in late April (including Week 17), and takes place at Hafnia Hallen (Valby), both inside the hall and in the adjacent air dome.

Training priorities across the Recreational, Elite, and Youth divisions align with the club’s strategy. The board has allocated fields to the training units and groups. The Sports Committee has assigned players to training groups in accordance with the club’s priorities (LINK: Rules and Guidelines for Membership in CPH Beach). The Coach Coordinator and the Youth Coordinator have assigned the coaching staff.

3. Weekly Schedule and Training Groups for Recreational/Youth Ages 19–25

CPH Beach's weekly schedule can be found here: Winter 202627 CPHBeach_FINAL WEEKLY SCHEDULE_View_Shared.xlsx

The training groups can be found here: Winter 202627 CPHBeach_BREDDE and YOUTH 19-25 TRAINING GROUPS_View with password.xlsx. To view the file’s contents, click the link, then select “Request access,” and finally enter the password you received via email from SU. Please check your spam folder. If it doesn’t work on your phone, try opening the link in a browser or on a computer.

Note: Only players who have applied for a spot have received the password for the file at the email address provided in the application/questionnaire. If you have not received the password, please contact su@cphbeach.dk.

The players have been assigned to the training groups as described HERE: Rules and Guidelines for Membership in CPH Beach

Please note that a maximum of 8 players per court may participate in each practice (i.e., up to 24 players with 3 courts and 16 players with 2 courts). A slightly higher number of players has been allocated to each group based on historical attendance data. Throughout the season, we monitor attendance in all groups and take action and make adjustments if attendance is lower or higher than expected.

The coaches for each training group will be announced before the start of the season and added to the list of training groups in the coming weeks.

4. Steps for players who have applied for a training spot and have been assigned to a training group

STEP #1: Accept or decline your spot by October 6 at 11:59 p.m.

If you pay late, you will lose your spot, and it will be given to a player on the waiting list.

If you want to confirm your spot, follow these steps:

  1. Visit our website (https://medlem.cphbeach.dk)and log in with your profile. If you're a new member, you'll first need to create a profile and log in.
  2. (Applies only to returning or new members. If you are already a member, go directly to step 3: First, pay the senior membership fee (monthly club dues): https://medlem.cphbeach.dk/da/subscriptions
  3. Pay for the training package:
    – 1 weekly workout: https://medlem.cphbeach.dk/da/webshop/product/472
    – 2 weekly training sessions: https://medlem.cphbeach.dk/da/webshop/product/473

IMPORTANT: Make sure you have added only 1 item to your shopping cart, and check the final price before confirming payment for the workout package (“proceed to checkout” and then “confirm”).

If you wish to decline the training offer, please send an email to SU (su@cphbeach.dk). That way, SU can offer the spot to one of the many players on the waiting list.

If you would like to join a different training group (higher or lower level), see FAQ Section 6, questions Q1A and Q1B, for instructions.

STEP #2 (only if you have confirmed your spot):

Once you've confirmed your spot, you should join the Facebook group for your training group(s) to stay updated and connect with your teammates and coaches. The links to the Facebook groups for each team are listed in the overview of the training groups. See the link in section 3.

STEP #3 (only if you have confirmed your spot):

Once you have confirmed your spot, you must sign up for each individual practice session throughout the season.

You can use our website or the Sportyfriends app: Find your workout under “Workouts” in the calendar, and sign up for a specific date.

Please note that all coaches have been asked to send home any players who have not have not signed up for the practice in question.

Important information:

  • Registration for a workout opens 14 days before and closes 24 hours before the workout begins.
  • You can sign up for one class at a time for each class group you're enrolled in, within a 14-day period.
  • If the practice session is fully booked, you can still sign up and be placed on the waiting list for that session. If another player cancels before the practice begins, players on the waiting list will be offered a spot and will receive an email notifying them of this.

So always remember to:

(i) Please cancel your registration well in advance if you are unable to attend. Please cancel always through the website or the Sportyfriends app if you are unable to attend a workout you’ve signed up for.

(ii) Check your email (including your spam folder) if you're on the waiting list for the workout. You might be lucky enough to get a spot!

Note: If you're having trouble signing up for a workout and see the message “You have reached your active signup limit,” try logging in via the website (not the Sportyfriends app), clear your cart (the icon in the top left corner), and then sign up again.

5. Procedures for players who have applied for a training spot but have not been assigned to a training group

No action is required. Read more in the FAQsection 6, Question Q2.

6. Frequently Asked Questions and Answers About the Winter Season

Q1A: Switch between training groups A-D

If you are not satisfied with your group placement (for example, because the practice day does not fit your personal or work schedule, your partner has been placed in a different group, or you would like to be placed in a higher-level group), you can contact us via email and explain the situation. Please note the following, however:

  • No adjustments will be made to the groups before the start of the season.
  • The groups are adjusted twice during the season (unless special circumstances require additional adjustments): approximately one month after the start of the season and midway through the season. This gives the winter coaches the opportunity to get to know the groups, assess their overall skill level, and suggest adjustments. At the same time, it allows SU to assess available spots based on player attendance.
  • In general, it is easier to request a transfer to a lower level than to a higher level. Keep this in mind when you write to us or make the decision described below.

If you wish to be moved to a different group (higher or lower) at this point in the season—when the season has not yet started, but you must accept or decline your spot within the coming week—it is recommended that you:

  1. accept the offered spot and pay for the training package by the deadline
  2. participate in the training at the level you've been placed in
  3. Let SU (and your winter coaches) know that you'd like to be moved up or down
  4. wait for the first adjustment (based on the criteria above).

In this case, SU will contact you if and when a spot becomes available for you (based on the coaches’ assessment during the first month). We will do our best to accommodate all requests. However, we are obligated to keep the process objective and therefore cannot guarantee that you will be offered a spot in another group.

If you choose this option, it is important that you pay on time (by the deadline), even if SU has not responded to your email by the payment deadline.

Q1B: Switch from MIX S-T to training groups A-D

Players are assigned to and invited to training groups A–D according to the priority order described in the CPH Beach Membership Rules and Guidelines, regardless of whether they have already been offered a spot in a MIX training session from 9:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. or whether they are on the general waiting list (see more information HERE: Winter Season – Update from the Board – Copenhagen Beachvolley).

Therefore, not possible to request a transfer from the S-T training groups to the A-D groups based on personal preferences. You will be contacted if a spot in A–D becomes available, and you can then decide whether to accept the new spot in A–D or remain in MIX S–T.

If you decline your spot in S-T by not paying for the training package, you’ll remain on the waiting list of players who may be invited to A-D. Please note, however, that we cannot guarantee you’ll be offered a spot in A-D, as there are only a limited number of available spots in the A-D groups after the season starts.

Please send SU an email if you wish to decline your spot in MIX S-Tso that we can offer the spot to one of the many players on the waiting list. Thank you.

Once again this year, we have seen a great deal of interest in participating in the training sessions, and we therefore regret to inform you that we do not have enough spots for everyone who has expressed interest. This applies in particular to returning and new members who did not indicate in their application that they are available to train from 9:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

If your name does not appear on any training group list, we unfortunately have not been able to find a spot for you. You have already been automatically added to the waiting list and do not need to take any further action.

If one or more players do not confirm their spot or withdraw in the coming weeks and/or during the season, resulting in open spots in the training groups, SU will contact you via email. Please check your email regularly, including your spam folder.

In the meantime, you’re still more than welcome to join the club (read more here: Become a Member – Copenhagen Beachvolley). You can also join one of the club’s volunteer committees. Members of these committees are given priority when training spots are allocated. Read more here, or contact the committees directly: Committees – Copenhagen Beachvolley

Registration for a recreational training group (ages 20 and up) for the winter season is now closed. If you missed the deadline, you can apply to be added to the waiting list by filling out this form: WAITING LIST WINTER 2026-27 | Registration for RECREATIONAL training groups – Fill out the form

SU will contact you if and when a spot becomes available during the season.

We recommend joining these two Facebook groups if you haven't already:

  • “CPH Beach – Member Group”
  • “CPH Beach – Play & Connect” (where you can find other players by posting a message)

7. Important Final Information

For wing players:

  • If, for various reasons, you are unable to complete the season (injury, pregnancy/maternity leave, or personal circumstances), you must inform both your coaches and SU (su@cphbeach.dk).
  • If you have any questions, please email us at su@cphbeach.dk. Please note that over the next month, we expect to receive more emails than we have the capacity to answer. We will therefore prioritize emails with questions that have not already been answered in this announcement or in the FAQ on our website (FAQ – Copenhagen Beachvolley), and will then respond to the remaining ones.

For youth players:

We're looking forward to a fantastic winter season together!

Sincerely,

The Sports Committee, the Coach Coordinator, and the Youth Coordinator
