Volunteer Committees

Volunteers at CPH Beach

Copenhagen Beachvolley is a club run by volunteers. That's why we have lots of different committees where our amazing members do invaluable work.

If you'd like to be part of one of these committees, just get in touch with them by email, and they'll show you how everything works.

We're always looking for more enthusiastic folks, so take a look at our different Committees. If one catches your eye, we'd love to have you join!

We really value our volunteers and host a volunteer day every year where we celebrate each other, our community, and all the hard work everyone puts into the club. Volunteering is a fantastic way to help the club grow, become part of a strong and friendly community, and even make some great friends along the way.

Volunteer Committee

Purpose:
This Committee recruits and guides volunteers for tournaments, as well as for setting up and taking down our outdoor courts. They also figure out the best ways to engage and motivate our volunteers.

What we do:
For our club to host things like tournaments, social events, and keep our facilities in great shape, we really need volunteers to lend a hand. In this Committee, we work to make helping out easy, clear, and fun! We do this by providing early and clear communication about volunteer tasks and creating videos that explain the different jobs. For example, we need volunteers for setting up/taking down Ryparken and for tournaments hosted by CPH Beach.

Sports Committee

Purpose:
To set up Senior training groups before each season starts, communicate with members about training groups, and develop our training programs.

What we do:
The Sports Committee is responsible for setting up the Senior training groups before each season kicks off. These groups are put together based on training evaluations of all players who trained with the club the season before.

The Sports Committee (SU) also welcomes new members to the club by answering emails from new Beach players who want to join the CPH Beach family. On top of that, they try to clarify and answer any other training-related questions our club members might have.

The Sports Committee (SU) works closely with the board to offer the best possible training to all members. The club has seen a growing number of members over the past few seasons, so as a club, we're always trying our best to adapt to this increasing interest in Beach training.

Tournament Committee

Purpose:
To organize both internal and external tournaments in cooperation with Volleyball Denmark.

What we do:
This Committee plans tournaments before they begin by finding and distributing prizes, making sure a tournament manager is in place, identifying all the preparation tasks needed before the tournament, ensuring our volunteers are rewarded for their efforts, and coming up with new ideas for running internal tournaments.

Elite Committee

Purpose:
The members of this Committee serve as a link between our elite players and the sports/elite manager. If players have any concerns or requests about the elite setup, these can be brought to the Committee members and discussed at the Elite Committee meeting.

What we do:
We discuss the elite+talent unit's training setup, including selecting the team (elite coach, assistant coach, physio, strength trainer, support functions, etc.), as well as the unit's squad, training times, and so on. We also decide and discuss which players can receive support for things like international tournaments or membership fees.
