Dear all,
Please read the information about the 2025–2026 winter season below.
1. 2025–2026 WINTER SEASON AND CPH BEACH WEEKLY TRAINING SCHEDULE
The 2025–26 winter season begins in early October (week 40) and ends in late April (week 18, inclusive).
CPH Beach has courts available for training and matches at Hafnia Hallen in Valby.
CPH Beach's weekly training schedule (including training times and courts available for booking) can be viewed here: 👉 Link to the schedule
In general, based on the club’s strategy, the board has established priorities for training sessions in the various divisions (Recreational, Elite, Youth).
This includes setting the number of weekly training sessions for each division and ensuring that all CPH Beach courts are used for training on weekdays during the winter season.
This provides more flexibility for open bookings on weekends for all members.
The SU, Elite Manager, and Youth Coordinator then drew up the detailed plan and assigned the club’s coaches.
2. RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS AND TRAINING PACKAGES
For the 2025 winter season, the club is offering the following opportunities to recreational players:
-
One weekly afternoon/evening training session: Price: 700 DKK for the entire season.
Held on weekdays (Monday through Thursday) from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Various training groups at different skill levels (from beginner to advanced) are available.
AND/OR
-
One weekly morning training session: Price: 400 DKK for the entire season.
Held on Wednesday mornings from 6:30–8:00 a.m.
Participants of various skill levels (from beginners to advanced) are grouped together, but may be assigned to different courts reserved for this session.
If you have been assigned to a training group, you must pay for a training package in addition to the membership fee.
The club’s membership fee must be paid by everyone who wishes to be a member of the club:
👉 Pay membership fee
With a membership, you can:
(i) purchase training packages (see above),
(ii) book courts for free with other members, and/or
(iii) participate in club events (e.g., Friday Fun Mix, internal tournaments, Easter lunch, Christmas party, etc.).
The prices of the training packages are set by the board of directors in accordance with the club's financial strategy.
3. RECREATIONAL AFTERNOON/EVENING TRAINING GROUPS
You can view the training groups here:
👉 Link to the groups
Please note that only a maximum of 8 players per court may participate in each practice session (i.e., up to 24 players on 3 courts, or 16 players on 2 courts).
A slightly higher number of players has been assigned to each group based on historical attendance data.
Throughout the season, we will monitor attendance in all groups and adjust the groups accordingly if we see lower or higher attendance than expected.
If you're wondering how the players have been assigned to the training groups, or why your name isn't on the list, please see the answers in FAQ #6 below.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLAYERS WHO HAVE APPLIED AND BEEN ASSIGNED TO A TRAINING GROUP:
Please confirm or decline your spot by Tuesday, September 16, at 11:59 PM.
👉 If you pay late, you will lose your spot, and it will go to a player on the waiting list.
If you would like to confirm your spot, follow these steps:
-
Go to our website (LINK) and log in with your account (if you're a new member: create an account and log in)
-
If you are a new or returning member: First, pay the senior membership fee (monthly club fee)

-
Please make sure you have added only one item to your cart and that the price is correct before confirming your payment.
If you wish to decline the training offer, please send an email to SU (📧 su@cphbeach.dk).
This will allow SU to offer your spot to one of the many players on the waiting list.
If you would like to join a different training group (at a higher or lower level), please see FAQ #6 below for instructions.
4. MORNING WORKOUT GROUP FOR ALL ABILITY LEVELS
You can only participate in the morning workouts if you are a member (i.e., have paid your membership fee; see section #2 above), regardless of whether you participate in the afternoon/evening workouts.
This means that you can participate in morning workouts in addition to your afternoon/evening workouts, even if you haven't been assigned to an afternoon/evening group.
If you'd like to sign up for the morning workout, follow these steps:
👉 Create a profile / log in
👉 Pay membership dues
👉 Buy a morning workout package
5. OTHER ACTIONS BEFORE AND DURING THE WINTER SEASON
Only if you have been assigned to an afternoon/evening group and/or are participating in the morning training session should you, after confirming your spot (see sections #3 and #4), do the following:
STEP 1: Join the Facebook group for your training group(s) to stay updated and in touch with your teammates and coaches.
👉 Links to the groups can be found here: CPH Beach training groups_Winter 2025-26_View access
STEP 2: Sign up for each training session (both afternoon/evening and morning) throughout the season.
You can do this via our website or the Sportyfriends app: Find your training session under “Trainings” in the calendar and sign up for a specific date.
👉 Please note: Coaches have been asked to send home any players who have not signed up for a practice session.
Important information:
-
Registration for a workout opens 14 days in advance and closes 24 hours before it begins.
-
You can sign up for one class per group at a time within a 14-day period.
-
If the practice session is fully booked, you can still sign up for the waiting list. If a player cancels before the practice starts, you’ll get the spot and an email notification.
6. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Q1: How have the players been divided among the afternoon and evening groups?
The allocation was based on available spots and the following order of priority:
-
Members of the club’s committees, coaches, staff, and board members in 2024 and 2025
-
Elite/talent players from the summer of 2025 who have not been designated as Elite/talent for the winter of 2025–26
-
Current members (first-come, first-served basis)
-
New and returning members (first-come, first-served basis). Players who were on the waiting list this summer but did not get a spot will be given priority.
-
Late applicants who register after the deadline (waiting list, first come, first served).
👉 Players returning from maternity leave within the past year are considered current members.
In addition, the allocation was based on:
-
Coaches' evaluation of players who trained at the club during the summer of 2025.
(Evaluation based on ball control and technique, coordination, motivation and attitude, and attendance). -
Please indicate in the registration form any recent evaluations and/or experience with both indoor and beach volleyball for both returning and new members.
Q2: I’d like to switch to a different workout group or a different workout day. Is that possible?
If you are not satisfied with your group assignment (for example, if the day doesn't work for you, if your partner is in a different group, or if you'd like to be placed in a higher-level class), please send us an email explaining the situation.
Please note, however:
-
At the start of the season, only minor adjustments will be made. Later in the season, once the coaches have assessed the skill level of the groups and SU has a clear picture of attendance, further changes may be made.
-
This is assessed on a case-by-case basis, and it may take some time (or may not happen this season), as transfers depend on available spots and skill level.
-
It’s generally easier to be moved down a level than up. Keep this in mind when you write to us or are considering your options.
If you would like to be moved to a different group (higher or lower level) at this time (before the start of the season, but you still need to confirm or decline your spot within the next week), you have two options:
A) Decline your spot, do not pay for the training package, and email SU to ask to be placed on the waiting list for the desired group.
👉 In this case, you must not participate in any training sessions until SU contacts you if/when a spot becomes available. (Note: this may take weeks, months, or may not happen at all).
B) Accept your spot, pay for the training package by the deadline (see above), join the group you’ve been assigned to, and then email SU to ask to be placed on the waiting list for another group.
👉 If you choose this option, it’s important that you pay on time, even if you haven’t received a response from SU by the payment deadline.
Q3: I applied for a spot in a training group, but I can't find my name on the list for an afternoon or evening group. Why is that?
There has been tremendous interest in participating in the afternoon/evening training sessions again this year, and we regret to inform you that we do not have enough spots for everyone who is interested.
This applies in particular to returning and new members, but also to some current members.
If your name does not appear on any of the training groups, we regret to inform you that we have not been able to offer you a spot.
You have been automatically added to the waiting list and do not need to take any further action.
If one or more players do not confirm their spot or withdraw during the season, you will be contacted by email by SU.
👉 Be sure to check your email regularly (including your spam folder).
In the meantime, you are still very welcome to join the club by paying the membership fee:
👉 Pay membership fee
As a member, you can:
(i) purchase training packages (see above),
(ii) book courts for free with other members, and/or
(iii) participate in club events (e.g., Friday Fun Mix, internal tournaments, Easter lunch, Christmas party, etc.).
Q4: I haven’t applied—or I forgot to apply—for a training spot for the winter season. Can I still join?
Registration for recreational training groups (ages 19 and up) for the 2025–26 winter season is now closed.
If you missed the deadline, you can join the waiting list by filling out this form:

5. OTHER ACTIONS REQUIRED BEFORE THE START OF THE WINTER SEASON AND DURING THE SEASON
Only if you have been assigned to an afternoon/evening training group and/or if you are joining the early morning training sessions, once you have confirmed your spot (see sections #3 and #4), you should do two additional things before the season starts and during the season.
ACTION: Join the Facebook group for your training group(s) to stay informed and connect with your teammates and coaches. The links to the Facebook groups are listed in the overview of the training groups here 👉 CPH Beach training groups_Winter 2025-26_View access
ACTION: Sign up for each training session (both afternoon/evening and early morning) during the season.
You can use our website or the Sportyfriends App: Find your training session under “Trainings” in the calendar and sign up for a specific date.
👉 Please note that all coaches have been asked to send home any players who have not signed up for the specific training session.
Good to know:
-
You can sign up for a training session 14 days beforehand, and sign-ups close 24 hours before it begins.
-
You can be registered for one training session at a time for each training group you are assigned to, within a 14-day period.
-
If a training session is full, you can still sign up and get on a waiting list for it. If someone cancels before the training starts, we'll give a spot to someone on the waiting list, and you'll get an email about it.
Therefore, always REMEMBER to:
(i) Cancel in advance if you are unable to attend. Always cancel via the website or the Sportyfriends app if you are unable to attend a training session you have signed up for.
(ii) Check your email (including the spam folder) if you are on the waiting list for the training session. You might get lucky and be able to join!
Note: If you have trouble signing up for a training session and see the message “You have reached your active signup limit,” please try logging in via the website (not the Sportyfriends app), clear your basket/shopping cart (icon in the top left corner), and then sign up again.
6. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q1: How have the players been assigned to the recreational afternoon/evening training groups?
Players have been assigned to the various training groups based on available spots as follows:
- In the following order of priority:
- Members of the club’s committees, club coaches, club employees, and members of the board in 2024 and 2025
- Elite/talent players from the summer of 2025 who are not assigned to the Elite/talent category in the winter of 2025–26
- Current members (first registered, first allocated)
- New members and returning members (first come, first served).
Players who were on a waiting list during the summer and were not assigned to a team are assigned first.
- Late applicants who register after the deadline (waiting list) (first come, first served)
Players who returned from maternity leave last year are classified as current members.
- Based on the coaches' evaluations of players who have been training with the club during the summer of 2025. Players were evaluated based on ball control and technique, coordination, motivation and attitude, and attendance.
- Based on the most recent evaluation and/or experience with both indoor and beach volleyball as indicated in the registration, for returning members or new members of the club
Q2: I would like to switch to a different training group or a different training day. Is that possible?
If you are not satisfied with your group assignment (e.g., if the specific training day does not fit your personal or work schedule, if your partner has been assigned to a different group, if you would like to be placed in a higher-level group, etc.), you can contact us by email and explain the situation. However, please note that:
- At the start of the season, only minor adjustments will be made, but as the season progresses, the coaches will have evaluated the group’s level, and SU will have assessed available spots based on player attendance.
- It depends on the specific situation; it might take some time (or may not happen at all this season), as being moved up or down ultimately depends on the availability of spots in the other groups and whether the team is a good fit for that level.
- In general, it is easier to request a downgrade than an upgrade. Please keep this in mind when you email us or when you make your selection below.
If you wish to be moved to another group (higher or lower) at this point in the season (when the season hasn’t started yet but you need to confirm or decline your spot within the next week), you have two options. You can either:
- A) decline your spot, do not pay for the training package, and email SU to be placed on the waiting list for the higher/lower level. In this case, you are not permitted to join any training groups until SU contacts you if and when a spot becomes available for you. Note: this may take weeks or months, or it may not happen at all (see above).
or
- B) accept your spot, pay for the training package before the deadline (see above), join the training for the level you have been assigned to, and then email SU to be placed on the waiting list for the higher or lower level. In this case, SU will contact you if and when a spot becomes available for you. If you choose this option, it is important that you pay on time (before the deadline) even if you have not received a reply from SU before the payment deadline.
Q3: I have applied for a training spot, but I can't find my name on the list for an afternoon or evening training group. Why?
Once again this year, we have seen a huge amount of interest in our afternoon and evening training sessions, and we must therefore announce that, unfortunately, we do not have enough spots for everyone who has expressed interest. This particularly affects returning and new members, but also a few current members.
If your name does not appear in any training group, we have unfortunately been unable to find a spot for you. You have already been automatically added to our waiting list, and you do not need to take any further action.
If one or more players do not confirm their spot or withdraw in the coming weeks and/or during the season, leaving open spots in the training groups, SU will contact you via email. Please check your email regularly, including your spam folder.
In the meantime, you are still very welcome to join the club and become a member (by paying the membership fee (https://medlem.cphbeach.dk/da/subscriptions). With this, members have the opportunity to (i) purchase training packages (see above), and/or (ii) book courts for free with other members, and/or (iii) participate in club events (e.g., Friday social mix, internal tournaments, Easter lunch, Christmas party, etc.).
Q4: I haven't applied for/forgot to apply for a spot in the winter training program. Can I still join?
Registration for joining a recreational (ages 19 and up) training group for the 2025–26 winter season is now closed. If you missed the deadline, you can apply to be added to the waiting list by filling out this questionnaire https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/J3mf2fXv8d
SU will contact you if and when a spot becomes available for you during the season.
In the meantime, you are still very welcome to join the club and become a member (by paying the membership fee (https://medlem.cphbeach.dk/da/subscriptions).
